Community Greenhouse Foundation can help you develop sustainably.

Building green means lowering your operational costs, energy and water consumption. Why fight environmental groups, when we can work with them to mitigate impact at conception, rather than post-facto?

Community Greenhouse Foundation enters Strategic Partnership with Green Futures Foundation

January, 10, 2011 - Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The Community Greenhouse Foundation is proud to announce a new Strategic Partnership with the Green Futures Foundation. The Green Futures Foundation is a not for profit that collects used “fryer/cooking oil” from restaurants and through private/public partnerships converts the oil to Biodiesel fuel. The proceeds from the program funds scholarships for students seeking careers in the renewable energy industry, energy efficiency, or sustainable living topics.

“We are very excited to align ourselves with The Green Futures Foundation and their program. Once we seen the program they have developed we wanted to become involved and provide whatever assistance we could to their organization. They are touching all the key bases, recycling, promoting green fuels and education for the next generation”, said Richard Evans, CEO of the Community Greenhouse Foundation.

The Green Futures Foundation already has over 60 restaurants participating in the program focused in South Florida currently. Restaurants receive tax deductible donation credit for their used grease and oil which the Foundation picks up and sells for Biodiesel production which funds the scholarship program. The participating food service provider receives recognition in the community and outstanding service for their waste oil needs from Green Futures at no cost to the restaurant, plus they know they are helping to fund education for the next generation. The Community Greenhouse Foundation is providing organizational, marketing, education and community outreach support and resources for the partnership.

“Our team is excited about the Partnership with the Community Greenhouse Foundation, they have been in the not for profit business for over 15 years and both organizations missions focus on education and sustainable issues, ” said Eric Lesperance Acting Director Green Futures Foundation.
